Mariam Shafei-Sabet
- Yoga Teacher + Physiotherapist MSc, MCSP

Mariam is a musculoskeletal physiotherapist and yoga instructor who has been helping clients achieve their goals for over 7 years. She has experience in NHS and private physiotherapy clinics, working with people after sustaining injuries, following surgery or for ongoing pains. She enjoys working with active people from different backgrounds, combining yoga and classical physiotherapy together. She has hypermobility herself, and uses her knowledge to support this condition.
Mariam specialises in general musculoskeletal conditions such as neck, shoulders, back, hip, knee and ankle pain. She has experience in rehabilitation after fractures, tendon ruptures and tendinopathies. She has worked with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including runners, yoga practitioners, CrossFit athletes, and those managing complex pain conditions.
Mariam offers yoga classes at the Studio on Sunday mornings. She leads yoga classes to students of mixed abilities and experiences, catering to different levels and always giving options and modifications. Like her own practice, she has a bias towards dynamic flows to challenge both body and mind, while improving body awareness and confidence. As a practitioner of Ashtanga and Rocket yoga, she is committed to her own practice and uses her own experience as a student to guide the way she teaches to be approachable and fun, embracing the many wobbles and falls as part of the journey.
