Jack Bain - Physio Jack Studios Founder 

- Physiotherapist BSc Hons, MCSP

Jack founded Physio Jack in 2018, drawing on experience gained from over 12 years in the health and fitness industry to offer first-rate treatment to clients from all walks of life.

 

He works with high level athletes, office workers looking for pain relief, over 50s who are keen to stay active, as well as almost everyone in between. 

 

Jack particularly enjoys treating people to get back into the gym, or regular exercise after an injury. He has helped many injured runners, athletes and weightlifters to make a full recovery and start competing again. 

 

As well as Physio Jack, Jack continues to work with Pure Sports Medicine, London’s leading experts in treating sport and musculoskeletal injuries. 

 

Jack also gained valuable experience at several highly-respected NHS trusts. Prior to his Physiotherapy studies at Brunel University, he worked as a personal trainer and strength coach.

Nick Bailey - Physio Jack Studios Co-owner 

- Physiotherapist BSc Hons, MCSP

Whether he’s working with his clients at Physio Jack, Premier League academy footballers or NHS patients, Nick’s expertise drives individuals towards their personal goals - from leading a pain-free lifestyle to getting in the perfect condition to achieve their sporting ambitions. 

 

Nick is especially experienced with lower back and neck issues, as well as conditions that develop over time. He can also provide post-surgery support to clients as they look to return to their everyday and sporting activities. 

 

His work in the elite academy football environment, as well as his previous rugby pitch-side experience, allows him to guide clients through the entire rehab process from the point the injury is sustained. 

 

He’s worked closely with medical and orthopaedic teams in NHS hospital wards and A&E departments too, further enhancing his medical knowledge.

Daniel Sabiiti

- Physiotherapist BSc Hons, MCSP

Daniel is a musculoskeletal physiotherapist with broad experience across the private sector, NHS, and within sport. Using his knowledge across several fields, Daniel aims to not only rehabilitate his patients back to a pain-free state, but prioritises rehabilitating patients to improve their performance beyond their original pain-free state.

 

A keen participant in several sporting events including rugby, football & long-distance running, Daniel uses his sports background to tailor each patients’ rehabilitation to their fitness and health goals. Whether you are returning from a long-term injury or wanting to prevent any injuries in the buildup to an event, he puts injury prevention and strength & conditioning at the forefront of his care.

 

Daniel has a keen interest in research, staying up to date with the latest guidelines for clinical excellence within the physiotherapy field, and providing proactive and evidence-based treatment. Daniel aims to leave no stone unturned when it comes to your care.

Daisy Hassan

- Personal Trainer + Midwife

Daisy is a Specialist Midwife at a highly respected NHS Trust, with almost 10 years experience working with women to ensure they have a healthy pregnancy and a safe childbirth.

 

The majority of her career has been spent supporting active labour and childbirth in a birth centre setting and caring for women throughout their pregnancy, from their very first appointment to their postnatal discharge.

 

With a unique understanding of the complex changes and adaptations that arise during pregnancy and after childbirth, combined with her personal training expertise, Daisy provides guidance and support that aids recovery and promotes both physical and mental well-being.

 

Her tailored exercise programs are safe, effective and enjoyable, and are tailored to your strength and fitness capabilities as your pregnancy journey progresses and as your body recovers following childbirth and beyond.

Stefania Lusso

- Physiotherapist BSc Hons, MCSP

Stefy is a Physiotherapist with vast experience in musculoskeletal care. Bilingual and originally from Sardinia. She will be working on Fridays at our studios,  with a passion for helping people recover, strengthen and surpass their goals.

 

With diverse clinical expertise, she takes pride in assisting individuals with musculoskeletal and post-surgical injuries while also focusing on injury prevention through research-based methods. Stefy is driven to help you become the best version of yourself and makes the process very enjoyable.

Emma Spong

- Physiotherapist BSc Hons, MCSP

Meet Emma our resident GB physiotherapist working on Saturdays. Emma became a physiotherapist in 2017, and then completed an MSc at Salford University in Sports Rehabilitation. Emma started her journey in the NHS before specialising in musculoskeletal physiotherapy working with elite female athletes in cricket, rugby, cycling, and now, GB Hockey.

Emma enjoys helping a diverse range of clients, drawing from her extensive experience to offer effective assistance to all. Whether you are recovering from injury or surgery, have ongoing pain or are looking to take your performance to the next level Emma has the tools to help you.

Emma is no stranger to challenges and goals with her expertise expanding to major events such as The Hundred, Commonwealth Games, British outdoor athletic championships, The London Marathon, and British cycling events over the last 4 years. 

Outside of her clinical roles, Emma has lectured and delivered teachings across her previous role at Loughborough university.

Dr Christian Hesford

- Medical Doctor (GP) + Personal Trainer

Christian studied medicine at Manchester University, during which time he also completed a BSc in Sports and Exercise Science at Loughborough University. He now works as a GP consultant at several busy NHS surgeries.

 

Christian has also worked with England Amateur Boxing, as a team doctor for the men's and women’s GB hockey teams, and has experience in pitch-side, sports and event medicine, including the London triathlon and the Manchester marathon. His true passion, however, is providing personal training and lifestyle medicine coaching to the general public.

 

His approach focuses on the ‘Core Four’ philosophy, emphasising the importance of sleep, nutrition, movement, and stress management to improve both the physical and mental health of his clients.

 

By adopting a holistic approach to health and fitness, Christian delivers tailored exercise, nutrition, and lifestyle plans that account for your specific preferences and lifestyle so that you can achieve your goals.

Mariam Shafei-Sabet

- Yoga Teacher + Physiotherapist MSc, MCSP

Mariam has been teaching yoga since 2017, leading classes to students of mixed abilities and experiences, catering to different levels and always giving options and modifications. Like her own practice, she has a bias towards dynamic flows to challenge both body and mind, while improving body awareness and confidence. As a practitioner of Ashtanga and Rocket yoga, she is committed to her own practice and uses her own experience as a student to guide the way she teaches to be approachable and fun.

 

She has assisted teachers such as Tom Norrington-Davies in the Mysore room, and Marcus Veda, Alan Ellman and Emily Mergaert in their rocket-based classes to experience a wide range of practitioners and their bodies to aid their practice.

 

As a person with hypermobility, Mariam is keen to be a part of the shift of yoga as a passive activity to one that can strengthen both physically and mentally.

Aron Sweeney

- Boxing Coach + Personal Trainer

Aron has dedicated the past 19 years to boxing and martial arts. He has worked across a variety of combat and fitness/strength gyms alongside inspirational boxers, fighters and personal trainers.

 

During this time he has developed the skills, wisdom and understanding needed to facilitate personal and dynamic teaching techniques, all the while finding ways to keep the sessions fun, intense and engaging.

 

Boxing has had an extremely positive impact on Aron’s life. His goal is to spread this positivity to as many others as possible.
